Getting Serious About Blogging......

Ok, as you can see, I have only created a few posts for this blog. Why, you ask? Sometimes I'm not sure if I have the time to keep up with this blog since I lead such a busy life, but other times I realize I just need to start making time for things that matter. On the other hand, I think the reason I have'nt posted as much is because I wasn't sure what I wanted this blog to be about. I try to stay aware of everything from new hair products to new music and everything in between. So I think, with the blog name that I've chosen (i.e. Soulful Bounce) and given the variety of things that I interest me....we are going to make this a blog about ALL THINGS SOULFUL. So from now on, you can read about my ideas and suggestions from books to music, from hair products to information about the African Diaspora. ALL THINGS SOULFUL.

I am one of the happiest people in the world since Barack Obama is the official/unofficial nominee for the Democratic Party. I can't describe all the things I felt as I watched CNN and BarackObama.com on Tuesday June 3, 2008. Thoughts of the African-American struggle, thoughts of the American struggle, racial barriers and all the recent trials that Senator Obama has survived in this primary process.

So Much Trouble..........

First of all, what happened with the primaries? Obama should have had each of those states because Hillary is just showing a negative side. The thing is, I think her tactics are going to separate and alienate the democratic voters. I believe and pray that Obama will receive the democratic nomination. I think with the nomination he can surely beat Mc Cain. I also believe that with Hillary's underhanded tactics, she is showing a side that is very befitting of the Republican. If she receives the nomination, I think she will have lost the faith of many democrats who would have otherwise voted for Obama...which I fear will lead to a lot of non-voters....which will in turn lead to another Republican win. What is going on??????????????????????

Muscially, I have been rockin' to the Erykah Badu album. After a week of just skimming the tracks, I am now really paying attention to the lyrics the message. Man, I just love Erykah. This album has a slightly different flavor from some of her past, but none-the-less, NEVER DISAPPOINTING. Check out "That Hump" and the song's associated artwork in the cd jacket.

WORLD NEWS............CHRISTIAN IS THE WINNER ON PROJECT RUNWAY :) Ok, I know its not world news, but how "FIERCE" was his runway collection for Bryant Park. For a 21 year old, that boy is super duper talented and creative. I'm so proud that he is a Maryland native. Waiting for the spread in Elle Magazine.

As for me, I have officially become the Toolbelt Diva. I installed a Programmable Thermostat. Troubled at first when only the fan was working. I had to research a few extra wiring configurations because there were a few questionable wires from the old thermostat that I couldn't place. But I figured it all out and I've got warm air blowin' and the thermostat operating with all the correct time/temperature settings. Woo-hoo!!!! Brand New to This Blogging Thing..........

Well I once said "what the heck is a blog"....."why all of the sudden is everyone talking about their blogs". Now, I am one of THEM. I'd been thinking about starting one for the sake of keeping up with those that I don't see often anymore. Then I saw my lovely friend msjetsetter.blogspot.com had begun a blog. So I decided to fall in line.
